Therapy for Brave New Beginnings

Therapy at Moxie Healing Collective

Moxie Healing Collective offers trauma-informed therapy that helps you understand your patterns, feel safer in your body, and begin healing at a pace that feels steady and supportive. Based in Baltimore, we provide virtual therapy to clients across Maryland, offering care from a space that feels safe and comfortable for you.

Therapy can help you move out of survival mode, make sense of what you have been carrying, and build the clarity and emotional regulation you need to feel more grounded and connected. Whether you are navigating trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, or relational challenges, we provide a compassionate space to begin healing from the inside out.

Therapeutic Techniques

An integrative, trauma-informed approach to healing

We draw from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, CBT, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and relational therapy to support emotional safety and nervous system regulation. These approaches help you understand your internal world, process difficult experiences, and access a calmer and more grounded sense of self.

Our integrative approach allows your therapist to tailor each session to your needs and readiness. By combining evidence-based and experiential methods, we support steady, compassionate healing that honors both your pace and your lived experience.

Support designed for where you are

Therapy for Teens and Adults

Individual therapy offers a grounded and supportive space to explore your emotions, understand your patterns, and develop coping skills that help you feel steadier and more connected. Together, we work to reduce overwhelm, deepen emotional clarity, and support healthier ways of relating to yourself and the people in your life. This offering is ideal for clients navigating anxiety, stress, relational challenges, or long term patterns shaped by trauma or emotional overwhelm.

Sessions are collaborative and rooted in emotional safety. We meet you where you are, helping you build confidence, strengthen your sense of self, and reconnect with the parts of you that are ready to heal.

For deeper healing

EMDR and IFS Trauma Therapy

Our trauma therapy integrates EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, DBT skills, and somatic grounding to support clients healing from trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD, relational wounds, and overwhelming life experiences. We begin with stabilization so your nervous system feels supported before moving into deeper processing.

This work helps reduce emotional reactivity, increase self-compassion, and create space for you to understand your internal parts and access a calmer, more centered sense of self. Trauma therapy helps you integrate past experiences without feeling overwhelmed by them, allowing you to move forward with clarity, grounding, and renewed self-trust.

Healing in community

Therapy Groups

Group therapy offers a supportive space to share, reflect, and heal alongside others who understand what you are going through. Therapy groups help reduce isolation, strengthen emotional insight, and support healthier relationship patterns through guided discussion, grounding practices, and trauma-informed techniques.

Women’s Trauma Group Therapy

Our Women’s Trauma Group Therapy offers a supportive space for women who are ready to heal from trauma, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. In this small, therapist-led group, members build safety, connection, and resilience through guided discussion, somatic awareness, and trauma-informed techniques such as mindfulness and IFS-informed group work. Together, participants learn to regulate emotions, strengthen boundaries, and find understanding through shared experience.

The group meets weekly via telehealth and remains closed to maintain trust and intimacy. This experience helps women move from isolation to connection and discover that healing is possible within community.

What You Need to Know

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We accept several major insurance plans and can help you understand your benefits before scheduling your first session. We currently accept United, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Cigna. For all other plans, Moxie Healing Collective is an out-of-network provider.

If you would like to use out-of-network benefits, you can submit receipts for possible reimbursement depending on your plan. We are happy to talk through how this works and what questions to ask your insurance provider.

How do payments work?

Payment information is required before your intake session, and sessions are automatically billed on the morning of your appointment. Payment is due at the start of each session. We will walk you through everything during intake so you know exactly what to expect.

Do you offer virtual therapy?

Yes. All therapy sessions at Moxie Healing Collective are offered virtually for clients located anywhere in Maryland. Virtual therapy provides consistent, accessible support from a space that feels comfortable and safe for you, and it allows us to work with clients who may not have easy access to in-person care.

Do you offer a free consultation before starting therapy?

Yes. We offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation as the first step to starting therapy. This call helps us get a sense of what you are looking for and which clinician may be a good fit for your needs. During this time, we will ask a few questions about your treatment needs, you can learn more about our approach, and we will answer any questions you have.

After we find a therapist who feels like a good match, we will send your pre-intake paperwork and schedule your intake session.

What is your cancellation and no show policy?

You may cancel your appointment without a fee up to 24 business hours before your scheduled appointment. You can cancel through the online portal, by email, or by leaving a voicemail. For example,  if you have an appointment at 11am Monday, it would need to be cancelled before 11am Friday.

If you cancel within 24 business hours of your appointment time or do not show up, you will be charged a cancellation or no show fee. Exceptions may be made for emergencies or serious illnesses or injuries. Work or travel related conflicts are not considered exceptions. These policies help us protect your reserved time and ensure we can offer consistent care to all clients.
